About Me
Curiosity, passion, leadership.

I’m Eric, a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Notre Dame who enjoys solving complex problems and turning ideas into real, practical solutions. Through projects in CAD, product design, research, AI, and engineering systems, I’ve built a strong technical foundation and learned how to approach challenges with both creativity and structure.
While I enjoy the technical side of engineering, I thrive most when I can work with people and lead a team. Communication, organization, and leadership are some of my strongest skills. As a leader in BRASA at Notre Dame, I’ve helped organize campus events that bring together Brazilian students, alumni, and companies, giving me experience coordinating teams, managing logistics, and building connections across different groups.
I’m especially interested in automotive engineering, robotics, and emerging technologies, but I’m just as drawn to the people and strategy behind successful projects. I want to work in environments where I can combine technical problem-solving with leadership, collaboration, and the chance to help a team turn ambitious ideas into something meaningful.
When I'm not studying or working on projects and campus initiatives, you can find me in the gym or pages deep in a good book. On weekends, I follow football and am an avid fan of Formula One and motorsport.

Center for Research Computing
During the academic semester, completed undergraduate research on how AI could improve CAD design and engineering documentation workflows. I developed AI agents integrated with SolidWorks using tools such as MecAgent and Leo AI, automating more than 80% of the drawing-documentation process.
Data Analytics Intern
Developed an AI agent in Databricks to identify the root causes of stock shortages across more than 1,200 Burger King and Popeyes locations in Brazil. Using BigQuery and SQL, I reduced analysis time by 94% while maintaining 100% data accuracy.

Designed and built a 17-part automated fixture to streamline the production of multiple aeronautical components while meeting aerospace quality requirements. Using SolidWorks, 3D printing, and CNC manufacturing, the final device improved production time efficiency by 47% and removed a key production bottleneck.

Volunteering

Alumni Board Member
Founding member / mentorship / organization
Invited to participate as a founding member of my high school's alumni board. I work with school teachers, counselors, and principals to organize alumni events and mentorship programs for current students. Organized 2 end-of-year events for over 200 alumni and currently working on mentorship program. Also volunteer as a mentor for both the engineering and robotics club at the school.

founder / Project management / innovation
A new engineering challenge focusing on mechanical systems design, integration, and performance testing.
Created an electronic waste recycling non-profit organization in my community. By the project's conclusion, it had over 15 recycling stations across the city and collected more than 2 metric tons of e-waste. The proceeds from the recycling were used to feed 100 homeless people in the area.
